Hey besties, it's your girl, the blog owner! So recently, I was on a date with a friend and we had some extra time, so we hit up Shinsegae Department Store, you know? The perfume counters were WILD, LMFAOOO. Smelled so good but like, why is it SO expensive?? We're talking 200,000 KRW+ no cap 😭. My life is all about that gaseongbi life, so anything over 100,000 KRW is a hard pass. Just sniffed around and went home, lol.

But then I went to a Musinsa Standard store near work, sprayed this perfume, and literally bought it on impulse. The scent isn't basic, and the longevity is actually not bad, so I'm gonna spill the tea on it here! No one's giving you the side-eye like in department stores, so you can chill and try all the scents. Plus, the bottle is big too, so you can just go wild with it, no stress. They lowkey had a lot of options, but I'll review the one I bought and some other scents I sampled!

FYI, perfume is super personal, so definitely use my post as a guide and go sniff 'em yourself, okay? My vibe is natural soap scents, cotton, and light, citrusy woody notes are my absolute fave, lol. Heavy stuff? Nah. So, the one I bought is the Musinsa Standard After Shower Eau de Parfum!

This Musinsa perfume is pretty popular, and it's known for being a crowd-pleaser for literally everyone. It's 50ml and the full price is 49,900 KRW! Super affordable, right? I got it on sale for around 40,000 KRW. The packaging and case are simple and chic, exactly what you'd expect from Musinsa. It's an Eau de Parfum, so the longevity is better than an Eau de Toilette. I spray it in the morning and it's still subtly there when I clock out....

Apparently, Musinsa Standard collaborated with top-tier perfumers for these, no cap. The After Shower scent I picked? It literally smells like you just stepped out of the shower, so fresh. You get that zesty freshness of bergamot, lemon, and mandarin, giving off a transparent, clean vibe. The main keywords are citrus, fruity, musk, and powdery.

To use, just spray a moderate amount on pulse points like your wrists, neck, and behind your ears. They say layering a small amount makes the scent richer, but I just use it by itself, lol. It doesn't have that sharp, overwhelming kick, which I love.

They had so many other Musinsa perfumes, so let me list a few samples I got:

First up, Smoke Oud. This one is exactly what it sounds like – a spicy, intense scent that might be a hit or miss for some. It's strong but also kinda trendy, lol? It lowkey reminded me of Maison Margiela's Jazz Club. Gaseongbi Jazz Club vibes, if you know what I mean.

Next, Midnight Rambler. This smells like cool, crisp air? Like it would feel super refreshing in the summer! It's like breathing in phytoncides in a forest, and the dry down is woody, giving off calm but not heavy vibes. I'd recommend this Musinsa perfume for anyone who likes that kind of feel.

Third, Sheer. I almost got this one instead of After Shower! It's a subtle floral that's perfect for daily wear. It's a bit common, but not overpowering. It has a white musk base, so the dry down is amazing, and the initial, almost nutty scent felt natural, which I loved! I'm lowkey gonna stock up on this from Musinsa Standard when it goes on sale later...

Oh, and I also bought a moisturizer and lip gloss from Musinsa this time! With points and coupons, it was cheaper than Ollie, no way. Ollie sales just don't hit like they used to, I'm crying. Musinsa's sale this time was a total success, so I had to share! These are literally my new holy grails, my insaengtem.

For my dry, subuji, sensitive skin besties, this moisturizer from The Harnaie is literally saving my life. It's famous as a post-dermatology treatment cream for cooling and regeneration, so I figured the ingredients must be gentle, right? So I bought it, lol. And OMG, it works SO well for me. My tiny bumps and redness used to be wild, but after using this, the redness has visibly calmed down, and no more chin acne, it's amazing. I don't even keep it in the fridge, but it feels instantly cool when applied, and my skin isn't dry in the morning even after applying it at night.

Best part? I put this on in the morning before my cushion, and my base makeup goes on SO smoothly. It's barely oily, packed with moisture, so no inner dryness. If your makeup usually cakes up, try this as a 'hwajalmeok' cream, no cap. Foundation goes on smoothly around my nose and eyes without creasing!

Out of all the moisturizers I've bought recently, this one suits me best. It's gentle overall and doesn't cause breakouts, so I think I'll be sticking with it for a while...? It's gentle enough for acne-prone skin, so sensitive skin folks can use it without worry. People with acne should actually avoid oily, heavy products! It's def important to layer light products multiple times.

And finally, I gotta show you the Hera Sensual Nude Gloss – this is my third tube of this holy grail product... It's glossy, so my lips don't feel dry even when I wear it alone, and it's not sticky like spiderwebs, so it's perfect for dry lips. Plus, the color is so delicate and pretty, like a watercolor stain? That's the kick, lol. It's famous for a reason.

I use Lingerie and Cherish, and they're great for layering with other lip products or wearing alone without making my lips look pale, which is super charming! Please take care of my lips forever... It gives that semi-tanghulu lip look, so you don't even need to layer a balm or gloss on top to get that plump vibe. Self-plumping effect, lol.

So, today I reviewed the Musinsa perfume After Shower and three other Musinsa Standard products, plus my holy grail moisturizer and my ride-or-die lip gloss. Hope my review helps!
